Analogue and Digital Illustration

Creating analogue and digital illustration happens when an illustrator combines traditional and digital art in the same artwork. The illustrations featured in this section are created using different techniques. These including analogue and digital collage using analogue elements and illustrations. Or, maybe, art created with traditional mediums like ink and fineliners, then coloured digitally. Sometimes, it’s the other way around: Line art created digitally and then coloured with analogue textures, like watercolour and gouache. At times, it’s simply arranging analogue illustrations in a collage digitally with no additional digital input.
